Chiefs could keep both Charcandrick West and C.J. Spiller
The Kansas City Chiefs could keep up to four running backs on their 53-man roster, allowing them to carry both Charcandrick West and C.J. Spiller, the Kansas City Star suggests.
Spencer Ware and Kareem Hunt are locked in atop the chart, while West and Spiller duel for the third spot. Spiller has looked like his "old, blazing-fast self," while West turned seven carries into 113 yards on Saturday night and remains a locker-room favorite. Both are depth options for the NFL and useful only with an injury or two in fantasy.
Our models project West as the most likely to survive cuts as KC's third-string back. We peg him for 122 yards from scrimmage and 0.82 touchdowns on 25 total touches.
