Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff completed 16-of-20 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown in the second preseason game.
He probably should have had 17 completions, but a spot-on deep ball got broken up by an excellent defensive play. Some of it was checkdown yardage, but it was the best we've seen Goff look and it came against the first-team unit. His touchdown came on an excellent play-action fake to third-round rookie Cooper Kupp.
Our models are understandably still tepid on Goff, with a projection of 3,568 passing yards, 20.58 touchdowns, and 17.89 interceptions on 570 attempts this year.
