Scott Tolzien

Colts' offense looks bad with Scott Tolzien

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Scott Tolzien completed 10-of-14 passes for 70 yards in Saturday’s preseason game.

What It Means:

Tolzien’s completion percentage was solid, but his 5.0 yards per pass attempt was bad. The Colts went three and out on all three of their drives against the starters. The Colts’ offense has just eight first downs on nine possessions with their first-team offense so far in the preseason. It’s almost certain Tolzien at least starts in Week 1 of the regular season, but Andrew Luck’s absence will compromise all the Colts’ skill players for fantasy.

Assuming he plays almost a full season, numberFire's models project Luck to complete 345.3 passes for 4,075.2 yards with 31.50 touchdown tosses and 14.2 interceptions while adding another 330.7 rushing yards and 3.00 scores on the ground. He currently stands as the QB5 in our season-long fantasy rankings.
