Blake Bortles not out as Jaguars' starter, but competition is wide open
The Jacksonville Jaguars' starting quarterback job is "wide open," NFL Network's Tom Pelissero confirms.
Head coach Doug Marrone refused to commit to Bortles as the starter following Thursday's game, but it's "not a forgone conclusion" that he's out of a job, according to Pelissero. Jacksonville isn't expected to pursue any outside options, leaving Bortles and Chad Henne to compete for the Week 1 job.
Bortles is currently the 18th quarterback in our fantasy rankings this season. We project him to complete 57.6 percent of his 595.8 attempts for 3,731.8 yards with 25.55 touchdowns and 16.2 interceptions while adding 257.6 yards rushing and 2.30 scores on the ground.
