Chad Henne expected to start for Jaguars in Week 1
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne will be the team's Week 1 starter against the Houston Texans, believes Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times Union.
"By opening up the quarterback competition between Blake Bortles and Chad Henne, Jaguars coach Doug Marrone is essentially closing it … and giving it to Henne," O'Halloran writes. While working with the first-team, Henne completed 6-of-10 passes for 44 yards in the Jaguars' second preseason game Thursday night, and he could have had more if not for a few drops by the receivers. If Bortles is benched, it will provide a slight boost to Allen Robinson's fantasy outlook.
numberFire's models still have Bortles as the starter and he is the 18th quarterback in our fantasy rankings this season. We project him to complete 57.6 percent of his 595.8 attempts for 3,731.8 yards with 25.55 touchdowns and 16.2 interceptions while adding 257.6 yards rushing and 2.30 scores on the ground.
