Eagles' Wendell Smallwood (hamstring) will not play Thursday
Philadelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood (hamstring) is not active for Thursday's preseason game.
Smallwood's roster prospects have fluctuated all offseason, but he was in the middle of trending upward prior to this injury. Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski said last week Smallwood has run "like a man possessed in padded practices" at camp. Tonight, undrafted rookie Corey Clement will get tons of run with Smallwood out, however.
Our models project Smallwood as the 67th-best running back for fantasy football this year, with 283 rushing yards and 1.18 touchdowns on 68 carries, adding 11 catches for 83 receiving yards and 0.11 scores.
