Colts' center Ryan Kelly (foot) will need surgery

Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (foot) will undergo surgery.

What It Means:

Head coach Chuck Pagano said the center will miss part of the regular season but declined to offer a more specific timetable. With very little behind Kelly on the depth chart, the Colts likely will look to bring someone in. They met with Jeremy Zuttah this week, but he looks set to return to the Baltimore Ravens, who cut him earlier this offseason. Veteran Nick Mangold is a free agent option as well.

This is not good news for Frank Gore, who needed Kelly to anchor the line in a big way for the rushing game. Our models still project Gore as fantasy's RB21, with 748 rushing yards and 4.73 touchdowns on 202 carries, as well as 34 catches for 284 receiving yards and 1.40 air scores.
