Washington Redskins rookie fourth-round running back Samaje Perine continues to work behind Rob Kelley, reports ESPN's John Keim.
"There remains a gap between the two," Keim writes of Washington's backfield mates, noting that Perine specifically needs to improve in pass protection. Kelley may eventually be unseated as the starter, but he seems to have a firm grasp on the gig for now.
numberFire's algorithms expect Perine to rush 144.3 times for 517.6 yards and 4.51 touchdowns with 15.5 receptions for 113.5 yards and 0.61 touchdowns in 2017. He is the 42nd-ranked fantasy running back in our models while Kelley ranks 31st.
