Seahawks' rookie Chris Carson moving up the depth chart

Seattle Seahawks seventh-round rookie running back Chris Carson "continues to climb up the depth chart," writes Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com.

What It Means:

Carson, Eddie Lacy, and C.J. Prosise all ran with the ones at practice on Tuesday with Thomas Rawls (undisclosed) on the sidelines, but Kapadia notes the rookie is "clearly ahead" of Alex Collins for the Seahawks' fourth running back job. In the team's preseason opener, Carson rushed 7 times for 19 yards and 2 touchdowns. Behind a trio of injury-prone running backs in Seattle, the seventh-rounder could wind up finding fantasy relevance somewhere down the line this season.

The Seahawks finished 23rd in schedule-adjusted Offensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play last season.
