Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck expected back for Colts 'around' start of season

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck's (shoulder) status is in doubt for Week 1, owner Jim Irsay admitted on Sunday.

What It Means:

Irsay couldn't commit to Luck's availability for Week 1, but he sounded optimistic overall and guaranteed that the franchise quarterback would be back "around" the start of the season. There has been some speculation from local media that the Colts may sit Luck against a beatable Los Angeles Rams team in Week 1 in order to guarantee his status for a Week 2 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Scott Tolzien is second on Indianapolis' depth chart at quarterback.

Assuming he plays a full season, numberFire's models project Luck to complete 345.3 passes for 4,075.2 yards with 31.50 touchdown tosses and 14.2 interceptions while adding another 330.7 rushing yards and 3.00 scores on the ground. He currently stands as the QB5 in our season-long fantasy rankings.
