Eddie Lacy

Eddie Lacy works with Seattle's second team in preseason opener

Seattle Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy rushed 4 times for 10 yards in Sunday's preseason opening victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

What It Means:

As has been the case throughout camp, Lacy ran behind Thomas Rawls in Sunday's opener. He didn't enter the game until Trevone Boykin came in for Seattle's second drive, whereas Rawls ran with Russell Wilson and the starters on the opening possession. With C.J. Prosise also factoring into the equation in the Seahawks' backfield, Lacy is likely going to require a Rawls injury in order to maintain fantasy value in standard formats.

numberFire's models are optimistic on Lacy this season, as we expect him to lead Seattle's backfield with 182.8 rushes for 798.6 yards and 5.00 touchdowns, while adding another 22.8 receptions for 167.5 yards and 0.68 scores. That makes him the 25th running back overall in our fantasy rankings entering the year.
