Seahawks waive injured running back Robert Turbin
The Seattle Seahawks have waived injured running back Robert Turbin.
Turbin has an ankle injury that is expected to cost him five or more weeks this season, and if no team claims him he will end up on the Seahawks injured reserve.
Turbin has been fairly efficient backing up Marshawn Lynch. In 2014 he ranked 39th out of the 73 backs with 50-plus carries in Rushing Net Expected Points per Carry. The Seahawks have signed veteran back Fred Jackson to provide some backfield depth in Turbin's absence.
