Orleans Darkwa running as Giants' second back
New York Giants running back Orleans Darkwa soaked up three carries for 18 yards Friday in the team’s first preseason game.
He saw one target, but couldn't bring it in. Darkwa was second in line for carries behind starter Paul Perkins. Obviously he didn’t get much work, though Darkwa did break loose for a gain of 11 yards in the second quarter. Darkwa offers mild fantasy appeal as a handcuff for Perkins.
Darkwa earned just -0.02 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt on 30 carries in 2016. Our models project him for 33 rushing yards and 0.11 touchdowns on 7 carries this year, adding 4 catches for 30 receiving yards and 0.17 scores.
