Brandon Crawford (calf) back in San Francisco lineup

San Francisco Giants' shortstop Brandon Crawford returned to the Giants' lineup for Friday's game against the Colorado Rockies.

What It Means:

Crawford is still sidelined after being hit in the left calf by a pitch during Monday's game. This past Monday was his first game back from an oblique issue, so the Giants will be hoping this return lasts longer than that one. Crawford is slotted sixth in the order tonight.

Always a defensive wizard, Crawford is in the midst of a breakout season with the bat, posting a career-best .343 wOBA, easily outdoing his 2014 clip of .309. Crawford's wOBA ties him with Troy Tulowitzki for best among shortstops. We have Crawford projected for a .712 OPS, four homers and 17 RBI the rest of the way -- assuming the calf issue is minor.
