Dalvin Cook dominates workload in Vikings' preseason opener
Minnesota Vikings rookie running back Dalvin Cook rushed 5 times for 13 yards and caught 4-of-4 targets for 30 yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills.
Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon were both inactive, so Cook saw every-down treatment while working with Sam Bradford and the first team, including pass-protection situations. Even after Bradford went to the bench, Cook remained in the game with Case Keenum's group. The second-round pick is starting to look like a solid RB2 selection in fantasy drafts as the Vikings' feature back.
numberFire's models currently rank Cook as the fantasy RB28 entering the 2017 season. We project him to rush 148.2 times for 627.1 yards and 4.71 touchdowns while adding 35.3 receptions for 291.4 yards and 0.92 scores through the air.
