Texans' D'Onta Foreman post 76 yards on nine rushes
Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman rushed nine times for 76 yards in the preseason opener, adding two catches for six yards.
Foreman worked as the third-team back behind Alfred Blue. The rookie’s inexperience showed up when Foreman bounced a third-and-one run to the outside in the second quarter, but his big-play potential was highlighted on a 41-yard sideline sprint in the second half. Foreman also broke an off-tackle run for 14 yards and hurdled a defender on his very next carry. Foreman struggled in the passing game, however, where he was rarely used in college.
Our models project Foreman outside the top-60 at running backs for fantasy football in 2017, with a line of 181 rushing yards and 0.51 touchdowns on 47 attempts, adding 25 catches for 204 air yards and 0.63 touchdowns.
