Jets place Quincy Enunwa (neck) on injured reserve

The New York Jets placed wide receiver Quincy Enunwa on injured reserve with a neck injury, ending his season.

What It Means:

The Jets' clear-cut top receiver, Enunwa was injured in a team scrimmage on Saturday by a bulging disk in his neck. This is devastating news that wipes out his age-25 campaign and his contract year. Head coach Todd Bowles revealed Enunwa won't be cleared for another 6-9 months, and even then neck injuries are arguably the trickiest in all of football. It leaves second-year undrafted free agent Robby Anderson on top of Gang Green's depth chart. It's a dire situation for a team that should be amongst the most unwatchable in league history.

Our models now project Anderson as the Jets' top receiver, with 792 receiving yards and 4.22 touchdowns on 60 catches this year. That projection places him in the top-50 fantasy receivers for 2017.
