Todd Gurley

Rams expecting big things from Todd Gurley

The Los Angeles Rams are "expecting big things" from running back Todd Gurley, head coach Sean McVay said.

What It Means:

Gurley reportedly put on a show during a joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. "He did a great job of getting it out into the open field," McVay said. "He's a guy that has been motivated and has been a standout throughout the offseason program, and it's been the same throughout camp." It was a non-tackling practice, so the praise should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, McVay has been nothing but positive about Gurley during camp, even suggesting the team plans to use him more in the passing game.

Our models project Gurley to bounce back in 2017, with 1,032 rushing yards and 8.52 touchdowns on 271 carries. We believe he'll add 273 receiving yards and 0.40 touchdowns on 39 catches to boot.
