Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill has a partially torn ACL
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has a partially torn left ACL, according to the Miami Herald.
Tannehill partially tore the ACL in the same knee back in December but a preseason exam showed the ligament was intact and stronger than his right. However, he suffered a re-tear in the left knee after in a non-contact injury during Thursday's practice. While the Dolphins are still weighing all the options, expect Tannehill to be out for the year, with surgery likely, as the team has brought Jay Cutler out of retirement to be their starting QB this season.
Tannehill threw for 19 TDs with 12 interceptions and 2,995 passing yards in 13 games last season. His 45.6% passing success rate, ranked him 20th out of the 28 QBs who attempted at least 400 passes in 2016.
