Giants say Sterling Shepard has "rolled ankle"
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard suffered a "rolled ankle," head coach Ben McAdoo said.
McAdoo described it as a "basketball-type injury" and that he's likely dealing with an ankle sprain, but this is encouraging news after Shepard was carted off the field in tears on Wednesday. As the third receiver on the Giants' depth chart behind Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall, Shepard is little more than a late-round fantasy pick.
For now, numberFire's models project Shepard for 59.3 catches and 688.5 receiving yards with 4.61 touchdowns in the upcoming season.
