Rams' Dominique Easley (leg) carted off on Tuesday

Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Dominique Easley was carted off the field with a leg injury Tuesday, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

What It Means:

Head coach Sean McVay did not say anything as to the severity of the injury, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that it is not looking good and could be serious. If Easley is out for an extended period of time, that could mean problems for the Rams' defensive line. He was expected to long heavy snaps in Wade Phillips' 3-4 defense.

The 25-year-old yielded 35 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in 2016. Pro Football Focus assigned Easley a 80.2 grade, making him the Rams' second-best lineman behind Pro Bowler Aaron Donald.
