Kam Chancellor and Seahawks agree to three-year extension
The Seattle Seahawks have signed safety Kam Chancellor to a three-year, $36-million extension through 2020.
The contract includes $25 million in guaranteed money and will likely keep Chancellor in a Seahawks uniform until he is age 32. The new average annual value makes Chancellor the third highest paid safety in the NFL.
The Seahawks were middle of the pack last season in pass defense with Chancellor missing four games. They ranked 15th in passing Net Expected Points in 2016.
