Wendell Smallwood fourth on Eagles' depth chart
Philadelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood has continued to receive fewer practice reps than rookie Donnel Pumphrey in training camp.
Pumphrey continues to see more reps than Smallwood, a trend that started in the spring at OTAs and minicamps. According to Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski, undrafted rookie Corey Clement could push Smallwood for the fourth spot on the depth chart if he excels during preseason action. LeGarrette Blount, Darren Sproles, and Pumphrey are essentially locks to make the Eagles' roster.
As of now, numberFire's models project Smallwood to rush 68.2 times for 283.5 yards and 1.18 touchdowns this season while catching 10.6 passes for 82.5 yards and 0.11 receiving scores.
