Joseph Randle

Joseph Randle to see 10-15 carries per game?

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle may open the season handling 10 to 15 touches per game, reports Drew Davison of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, "with (Darren) McFadden slightly below that."

What It Means:

It's looking like a committee attack, at least to start the season. Davison confirms none of Dallas' backs "has done enough to separate themselves from the pack."

The Cowboys ranked ninth in our schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season and boast one of football's top offensive lines. Randle ranked fourth out of 72 running backs with at least 50 carries with a 0.11 Rushing NEP per attempt, easily outdistancing Dunbar and McFadden. Lance Dunbar had a lowly Rushing NEP per carry mark of -0.20 while McFadden checked in at -0.15
