Former Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson will meet with the Seattle Seahawks Tuesday, and both sides expect a deal to get done, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Jackson played well in his only game this preseason posting 48 rushing yards on 5 carries and a touchdown. Robert Turbin and Christine Michael are currently slotted as the backup running backs behind Marshawn Lynch in Seattle. Jackson could be a handcuff pickup for Lynch if he grabs the backup spot. Jackson will turn 35 years old in February.
The Seahawks ranked first in our schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Jackson ranked 36th out of 43 running backs with at least 100 carries with a -0.08 Rushing NEP per carry on the year.
