Cowboys' Morris Claiborne (knee) to make preseason debut Saturday

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborn is expected to make his preseason debut on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings.

What It Means:

Claiborne missed the final 12 games of last season after tearing his patella tendon. He has not missed a training camp practice, but the Cowboys have held him out of the first two preseason games for precautionary reasons. Claiborne is now shifted into a starting cornerback spot across from Brandon Carr after top cornerback Orlando Scandrick suffered a season-ending knee injury during yesterday's practice.

The Cowboys ranked 24th in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points metric last season. Our algorithms project Claiborne to finish the season with 19 tackles and one interception. We rate Dallas as our 11th-ranked fantasy defense.
