Calvin Pace out of Jets' practice with groin injury
New York Jets linebacker Calvin Pace did not practice Wednesday after injuring his groin Monday, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
There was no update on how long Pace would be out and whether he would be available for the team's preseason contest Saturday against the New York Giants.
Our algorithms see Pace as being a solid contributor to the defense this season, projecting him for 74 tackles and seven sacks. Pace recorded five sacks last season and hasn't missed a game since 2011. Pace and a retooled secondary will hope to improve a defense that finished last season 21st in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
