Rams' Greg Robinson sent to Lions in trade
Los Angeles Rams tackle Greg Robinson was traded to the Detroit Lions on Thursday in exchange for a sixth-round selection in 2018.
Robinson had lost his starting job in training camp and is due $3.3 million in guaranteed money this season. The Lions will take on that burden in hopes that they can move Robinson to left tackle, where an injury to Taylor Decker has created an opportunity for the former second overall pick.
Robinson started at least 12 games in all three of his seasons with the Rams. The Rams allowed the second-most (49) sacks in the NFL a year ago.
