Bears' Zach Miller still 50-50 to be ready for training camp
Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller (foot) is "going to cut it close" for the start of training camp, head coach John Fox said.
Miller said he was "close" to full health in early June, but he's sitting out minicamp. Long injury prone, look for the Bears to play it slow with the 32-year-old. The Bears signed former Miami Dolphins Dion Sims and drafted rookie Adam Shaheen in the second round. Miller is entering the final year of his contract, and the signs indicate that this is his last year in Chicago.
Among 43 tight ends to top 30 targets in 2017, Miller's Reception Net Expected Points per target was the 16th-best rate.
