Colts' Robert Mathis believes he could be ready Week 1
Indianapolis Colts outside linebacker Robert Mathis believes he could be ready for the season opener against the Bills.
Mathis was viewed as a candidate to open the season on the PUP list a week ago, but he has recently gained momentum in his recovery status after the Colts removed him off the active/PUP list. Mathis recorded a franchise-record 19.5 sacks during his last healthy season in 2013.
The Colts ranked 11th in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points metric last season. We project Mathis to finish the year with 72 tackles, five sacks, and one interception.
