Falcons sign Rex Grossman to one-year contract
The Atlanta Falcons have signed quarterback Rex Grossman to a one-year contract.
Grossman will be reunited with Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in Atlanta. Grossman will compete with T.J. Yates and Sean Renfree for the backup spot behind Matt Ryan.
The Falcons ranked seventh in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points metric last season. Grossman has not attempted a pass since 2011, and he is off the fantasy radar.
