Ravens release Dennis Pitta (hip)
Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta has been released with an injury settlement.
Pitta dislocated his hip for the third time at OTAs last week, and this could very well be the end of the 31-year-old's career.
In 6 NFL seasons (66 games) Pitta has caught 224 passes for 2098 yards and 13 touchdowns. He finished 2016 with 0.37 Reception Net Expected Points per target -- the third-lowest mark among tight ends that saw at least 50 targets on the year.
