Bears' Cameron Meredith suffers thumb injury
Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith suffered a sprained thumb during Thursday's OTA practice.
The 24-year-old is expected to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks with the injury. Surgery is still on the table, and he's at risk of missing the beginning of training camp, though he should be full-go by the start of the season.
Meredith tallied 66 receptions for 888 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2016. His 0.68 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target ranked 47th among the 93 wideouts that saw at least 50 targets.
