Ezekiel Elliott returns to Cowboys' workouts

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (car accident) returned to practice this week.

What It Means:

Elliott was held out last week as a "precaution" after his second car accident this year. Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown insisted Elliott did not suffer a concussion, and his quick return to practice supports the assertion. Despite an eventful offseason, Elliott should be no worse for wear when the reps begin to matter.

Elliott was a big part of the Cowboys' run-heaviest offense this year, carrying the ball 322 times for 0.11 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt. This was the second-best rate among 27 running backs to tote the rock at least 150 times.
