Jets' Austin Seferian-Jenkins drops 25 pounds this offseason

New York Jets tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins has dropped 25 pounds this offseason.

What It Means:

Seferian-Jenkins' weight peaked in the mid-280s last season but now he's down to 260. His offseason regiment included hot pilates and working out up to three times a day with a Las Vegas fitness expert. ASJ's career bottomed out last year after his September DUI arrest, but it looks like he's fully recommitted himself heading into his contract year. He'll begin the season serving a two-game suspension.

On 20 targets in 2016, Seferian-Jenkins earned 0.71 Reception Net Expected Points per target. That would have ranked 14th among the 35 tight ends to see 40 or more targets on the year.
