Seahawks to give C.J. Prosise 'big role' if he's healthy

Seattle Seahawks sophomore running back C.J. Prosise will "have a big role" if he can stay healthy, believes ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia.

What It Means:

Prosise "will be featured in the passing game" and used "as a change-up" for Eddie Lacy, but it all depends on him staying on the field, Kapadia wrote. The 22-year-old running back was limited to just six games in his rookie campaign due to multiple injuries. However, when available, he averaged 8.1 yards per touch and was a valuable fantasy asset. Lacy's presence won't be nearly as big of a barrier to overcome for Prosise as the sophomore's own health.

Prosise earned 0.04 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt on 30 rushes last year, as well as 0.91 Reception NEP per target on 19 targets (17 catches). He led all Seahawks running backs in both categories among the three that recorded at least 10 touches in 2016.
