Broncos' comments imply Trevor Siemian has lead on Paxton Lynch
Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said, "Decision-making is going to be a major factor in who wins the (quarterback) job."
What It Means:
"The guy who makes great decisions with the football, not turning the football over, and the guy who lets his teammates play for him, that’s the guy I want to lead our football team," Joseph added. He praised Trevor Siemian for his "high football IQ" while speaking more of Paxton Lynch's "physical ability." There's plenty of time between now and Week 1, but Siemian appears to be the early favorite for the starting job under center in Denver.
Siemian came in 26th in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs in 2016.
