Nathan Peterman motivated to earn role for Bills
Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman said being selected in the fifth round has put a "big chip on my shoulder."
What It Means:
"I think going forward, it’s going to serve as definitely a good motivator for me and a big chip on my shoulder," Peterman said. Peterman was being talked about as an early Day 2 pick in the pre-draft process but tumbled to Day 3. He was handpicked by the new regime and could start games if Tyrod Taylor struggles or moves on from the Bills.
Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs last season, Taylor's 0.12 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back ranked 19th.
