The Cleveland Browns re-signed running back Isaiah Crowell to a one-year, $2.81 million contract.
It's the value of his second round tender. Crowell was holding out for an extension, but there hadn't been any progress since January. Cleveland wants to see more from Crowell before committing to him after an uneven 2016. Crowell will remain in a committee with Duke Johnson but should lead the Browns in carries.
Among the 54 running backs to see at least 80 carries last season, Crowell ranked 25th in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
