Jermaine Kearse

Jermaine Kearse could be on outs with Seahawks

Chances are "slim" that the Seattle Seahawks would cut wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, but he is in a rough position, ESPN's Sheil Kapadia considers.

What It Means:

Kearse caught just over 50 percent of his 80 targets for 511 yards and one touchdown in 2016. The yards were a three-year-low for Kearse, and he led the league in offensive pass interference penalties. He may have to settle into role as the fourth receiver at best, but Seattle also used a third-round pick on Amara Darboh in this year's draft.

Among 92 receivers to see at least 50 targets last year, Kearse created the ninth-least Reception Net Expected Points per target.
