Eagles unlikely to trade for Saints' Mark Ingram
The Philadelphia Eagles will not trade for New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram, according to the Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski.
Ever since the Saints lost center Max Unger to foot surgery earlier this week, there's been a connection flying around that the Eagles and Saints could be trade partners, with Ingram and Philly center Jason Kelce being swapped. It makes sense from a needs standpoint, but the Saints have shown no inclination they want to move Ingram, and they're not going to just give him away.
According to Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last season, Ingram was among the league's elite, averaging 0.06 Rushing NEP per play, which ranked seventh among the 33 runners with at least 125 carries.
