Colts not bashful about expectations for Donte Moncrief
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Donte Moncrief "has all the tools" to be "one of the better receivers in the league," said new wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal.
"I don't know how he was coached, what was demanded of him in the past," Lal said. "All I know is with me, it's a blank slate." Moncrief turns 24 in August and is entering a contract season. He was limited to nine games last season due to injury but still managed to catch seven touchdowns.
Among the 92 wide receivers with at least 50 targets last season, Moncrief's Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 60th. In terms of Reception Success Rate, he was 35th in that same group at 86.7 percent.
