Michael Floyd drawing interest from Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are interested in free agent wide receiver Michael Floyd, reports Darren Wolfson of KSTP.
The Vikings are "highly, highly interested," according to Wolfson. Floyd hasn't made a visit during free agency and this is the first his name has been mentioned in months. The 27-year-old receiver was overwhelmingly ineffective last season, setting career lows in targets (76), receptions (37) and receiving yards (488) across 15 games for the Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots. That said, Minnesota doesn't have much in terms of pass-catchers behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen.
Floyd's Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 38th among the 68 wide receivers to see 75 or more targets in 2016.
