Lions' Eric Ebron says he wasn't healthy in 2016
Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron said he was "really banged up" last season.
"I was pretty beat up, man, from the things you might know of, to the things you don't," Ebron said. "I was pretty destroyed." Knee and ankle injuries cost the tight end three games in 2016, but it sounds like things were worse than Ebron and the Lions were letting on. The 24-year-old rising fourth-year man now says he feels "great" after an offseason of rest. This will likely be a make-or-break season for Ebron in Detroit.
Ebron came in ninth in Reception Net Expected Points per target among the 32 tight ends to top 50 targets last season. He's never played more than 14 games in a year.
