Seahawks say Richard Sherman trade talks are dead
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said on Thursday that trade talks regarding defensive back Richard Sherman are now dead.
While it seems highly unlikely with the draft no longer a factor, Carroll didn't completely rule out the possibility of a future deal getting done down the road. "But people can always call you, and there were some people, there were some conversations," Carroll said. "I don't think they're going to change. I don't think anybody's going to offer us anything that would make it worthwhile because there's no draft involved and all that kind of stuff." Sherman turned 29 in March.
The Seahawks' secondary ranked just 15th last season in opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
