The Denver Broncos selected Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly with the 253rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Kelly arrived at Clemson as a top-five quarterback recruit only to tear his left ACL as a freshman and clash with coaches, resulting in his ouster from the program. Kelly started for two years at Ole Miss, encountered several more off-field issues, tore his right ACL last November, then underwent surgery on his throwing wrist before the draft. Still an intriguing long-term prospect, Kelly has starter upside if he can get his head on straight.
Kelly posted a 63.9 percent completion rate, 8.5 yards per attempt, 50 touchdowns and 21 interceptions, adding 15 rushing scores. He'll redshirt his rookie year.
