Packers secure Malachi Dupre with 247th pick
The Green Bay Packers selected LSU wide receiver Malachi Dupre with the 247th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Dupre spent three years in Baton Rouge before turning pro, starting the final two. A top-two wideout recruit out of high school, Dupre’s college stats were torpedoed by horrific quarterback play in LSU’s run-first offense. Dupre is a lanky 6'3" and 196 pound project with 4.52 speed, and he struggled with press-man coverage and contested catches.
Dupre finished with 1,609 receiving yards on 98 catches (16.4 yards per reception) and 14 touchdowns.
