De'Angelo Henderson adds competition to Broncos at 203rd pick
The Denver Broncos selected Coastal Carolina running back De'Angelo Henderson with the 203rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Henderson is stocky at 5'8", 208 pounds, and started 39 games in college. Henderson helped himself in Indy, running 4.48 with a 10'0" broad jump. Henderson is an intriguing small-school prospect who checks boxes for production and athleticism and runs with aggressive competitiveness between the tackles.
Henderson saw 721 carries, 4,635 rushing yards, 58 rushing touchdowns, and 6.43 yards per carry, graduating as Coastal Carolina’s all-time leader in those categories and adding 97 career receptions. It's no small wonder the Broncos were okay trading Kapri Bibbs.
