Eric Saubert offers Falcons intriguing upside at 174th overall
The Atlanta Falcons selected Drake tight end Eric Saubert with the 174th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The 6'5", 253-pound Saubert was a dominant receiving tight end in the Pioneer Football League, starting all four years. Saubert blazed 4.65 with a 33-inch vertical and 7.29 three-cone time at his Pro Day, showing NFL-level athleticism. Blessed with long 33 1/2" arms, huge 10 3/8-inch hands, Saubert offers big-time pass-catching traits.
Saubert piled up 776 receiving yards on 56 catches (13.9 yards per reception) with 10 touchdowns as a redshirt senior.
