Broncos move up to nab Isaiah McKenzie at pick 172
The Denver Broncos traded up with the Green Bay Packers to select Georgia wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie with the 172nd overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft.
The diminutive 5'7", 173-pound McKenzie blazed 4.42 at the Combine, prompting ESPN’s Todd McShay to call him the quickest prospect in the entire 2017 draft. McKenzie’s offensive potential is nearly nonexistent at his size, but he is one of the top pure return men in this year’s draft.
McKenzie made only 60 career catches as an 11-game starter for the Bulldogs, but he truly dazzled on special teams with six return scores, five on punts and one on a kickoff. He'll struggle to contribute offensive value in the pros.
